The online ticket of the BLS Lötschberg and Simplon car transport service brings the ticket office home to you. You can buy your car transport ticket online, print it out yourself or display it on your mobile device.
Once purchased in our Ticket Shop, the online ticket is available for you to download as a PDF file and sent by e-mail to the address with which you registered. Once printed out on white A4 paper, your journey can begin. A print-out is not necessary if you can retrieve the e-mail with a QR code (registered trade mark of DENSO WAVE INCORPORATED) on your mobile device.

Kandersteg - Goppenstein

You can purchase tickets via the BLS Car Transport service Ticket Shop for the motor vehicle category up to 3.5 tonnes total weight and with a maximum of 9 seats (without a trailer) from Kandersteg to Goppenstein or from Goppenstein to Kandersteg. Only single tickets can be bought.

Brig – Iselle (Italy)

You can purchase tickets via the BLS Car Transport service Ticket Shop for the motor vehicle category up to 3.5 tonnes total weight and with a maximum of 9 seats (without a trailer) from Brig to Iselle or from Iselle to Brig. Only single tickets can be bought.

Kandersteg – Iselle (Italy)

You can buy tickets for the categories listed from Kandersteg to Iselle or from Iselle to Kandersteg from the BLS Car Transport ticket shop. Only single tickets can be bought.

  • Motor vehicle weighing up to 3.5t and with max. nine seats
  • Motor vehicle weighing up to 3.5t and with max. nine seats/ with a luggage trailer weighing up to max. 0.75t
  • Motor vehicle weighing up to 3.5t and with max. nine seats / with a caravan/trailer weighing up to max. 3.5t
  • Motor home up to 5t total weight
  • Bus with 10 to 19 seats
  • Bus with 10 to 19 seats and a luggage trailer weighing up to max. 0.75t
  • Bus with 10 to 19 seats and a caravan/trailer weighing up to max. 3.5t
  • Motorcycle over 50 cm3/ without sidecar
  • Motorcycle over 50 cm3/ with sidecar / trike / Trike
  • Bicycle / Moped / motor scooter up to 50 ccm

Access and registration

You can reset your password in the ticket shop at step 2 – registration by clicking on "Forgotten password". To do this, you will need the e-mail address that you gave when you registered. If you do not receive an e-mail, perhaps it has been put into your spam folder. If you have also forgotten the e-mail address you used to register, then please open a new account.
When registering, please take the following points into consideration:
  • Your password must be case-sensitive
  • Your password must include at least 8 characters.
  • Your password must include at least one number and one letter.

Purchasing

  • A computer or mobile device (e.g. smartphone or tablet PC) with internet access
  • An up-to-date internet browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Internet Explorer)
  • A PDF reader program to display the PDF file with the online ticket
  • A valid e-mail address for registration and sending confirmation of the online ticket
  • A valid credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club) or debit card (PostFinance Card) for payment
  • A printer (inkjet or laser printer) to print the ticket out or a mobile device to display the online ticket

You can purchase your online ticket up to shortly before you arrive at the loading station in Kandersteg or Goppenstein.

Brig – Iselle (Italy)

You can purchase your online ticket up to shortly before you arrive at the loading station in Iselle or Brig. However, we would draw your attention to the fact that internet reception in Iselle is poor.

Kandersteg - Iselle (Italy)

You can purchase online tickets on the Internet up to five hours before departure of the car train.

Once purchased, you can download your online ticket using the Download link displayed. Then print it out using the "Print" function in your PDF reader program (please do not use the "Print" function in your browser).
You must have a PDF reader installed on your computer to display and print out your online ticket.
The online ticket will be made available to you together with a confirmation e-mail as a download link and PDF file. You can download your ticket as a PDF or via the download link up to the end of the validity period.

Download and print

If you find that you are unable to download your online ticket via the download link shown in our Ticket Shop, then please click on the download link which appears in your confirmation e-mail. You can download the online ticket and then print it out. You have not received an e-mail? Please make certain that you have entered the e-mail address correctly and that the confirmation e-mail has not been put in your spam folder.
You need a PDF reader program to display and print out online tickets. You can download Adobe Reader free-of-charge here .
Your computer may possibly be trying to open the online ticket (PDF file) with a different application and not a PDF reader. Check if the operating system installed on your computer opens PDF files with your PDF reader. If you do not have a PDF reader installed, you can download Adobe Reader free-of-charge Sie here .
The QR code in the confirmation e-mail is only valid as an online ticket with a mobile device (smartphone/tablet) and can be validated using the relevant device at the automatic check-in in Kandersteg, Goppenstein or Brig.
Please use exclusively an inkjet or laser printer (and do not use draft/economy mode) to print out online tickets. You must print out online tickets 100% in size (not reduced) in portrait format on white, previously unused, A4 paper.
You must not change the size of the ticket when you print it out. The QR code in the upper section of the ticket must be legible in its entirety and must not display any damage, dirt or other adverse effects that would make electronic validation difficult or even impossible.
You must have a PDF reader installed on your computer to display and print out your online ticket. You can download Adobe Reader free-of-charge here. If the online ticket you have purchased can be displayed but not printed out, there is probably a problem with your printer or your printer settings. You can also save your online ticket on your computer. Print the online ticket out as soon as the printer problem has been fixed. In any event, always click on the "Print" symbol in your PDF reader and not the one in your internet browser. The online ticket will be made available to you together with a confirmation e-mail as a download link and PDF file. You can download your ticket as a PDF or via the download link up to the end of the validity period and print it out.

Validity and refunds

Kandersteg - Goppenstein

A Ticket purchased online is valid for one year from the time it is sent electronically to the customer. The applicable validity period is specified on the Ticket.

Kandersteg – Iselle (Italy)

Tickets purchased online are only valid for the travel date, the departure time, the vehicle category and the relevant route (Kandersteg–Iselle or in the opposite direction) which are specified on the Ticket.

Online tickets are transferable and not restricted to one person.

Refunds cannot be given against tickets acquired online nor can they be exchanged.

Kandersteg - Iselle (Italy)

If the Ticket holder is unable to travel on the travel date or at the departure time specified on the Ticket, they have the option of cancelling the Ticket in question online or at any BLS Travel Centre (ticket including reference number required).

The date on which the cancellation is made is the decisive factor where the calculation of cancellation costs is concerned: the percentages specified below define the Ticket costs to be borne by the customer:

  • 15 to 23 days before departure: 30% of Ticket costs
  • 8 to 14 days before departure: 50% of Ticket costs
  • 1 to 7 days before departure: 90% of Ticket costs
  • No-show on the day of the journey: 100% of Ticket costs
If you cannot show your online ticket at the loading station in question in either printed form or using a mobile device, or if electronic validation is impossible due to the circumstances mentioned or circumstances for which you are responsible, you have no entitlement to either a replacement ticket or to travel. However, we would draw your attention to the fact that internet reception in Iselle is poor.

Ticket validation sequence when loading

Yes, you can use the self-service lane if your online ticket is valid for the Motor vehicle weighing up to 3.5t and with max. nine seats category. Please note: in order to guarantee faster checking in of all customers using the car transport service, on busy days the self-service lane may be switched to a manned automatic check-in. This will be clearly indicated on the signs.
You simply hold your printed online ticket or smartphone/tablet with the QR code against a barcode scanner for a few seconds. Please make sure that your mobile device screen is not tilted and is set to maximum brightness. Your ticket will be validated and the barrier opened.
Yes, you can use the manned automatic check-in with your online ticket. On the service from Iselle to Brig, tickets are validated at the Brig loading station.
You either hold your printed online ticket or your smartphone/tablet with QR code against the barcode scanner or you give them to the personnel at the automatic check-in. Your ticket will be validated and the barrier opened.
Kandersteg - Goppenstein

An online ticket only gives you the right to transportation on the Kandersteg-Goppenstein line. You are therefore neither entitled to travel on a specific train nor to travel at a specific time. An online ticket is not a reservation.

Brig – Iselle (Italy)

An online ticket only gives you the right to transportation on the Brig-Iselle line. You are therefore neither entitled to travel on a specific train nor to travel at a specific time. An online ticket is not a reservation.

Kandersteg – Iselle (Italy)

By purchasing a Ticket online, the customer reserves a space in the selected vehicle category on a particular day, for a specific train and at a certain time. The Ticket purchased online is only valid on this reserved car train (date, departure time). The reserved space is kept clear up to 30 minutes before the train departs in the case of two-wheelers and for up to 10 minutes before departure in the case of all other categories. The space will then be made available to another vehicle without any entitlement to a refund for the Ticket.

Data security

All data is transmitted in encrypted form (SSL) and is exclusively for issuing and forwarding online tickets. If you have subscribed to the "BLS Newsletter", the data will also be used to send you information, newsletters and offers from BLS.
